Tampa Palms Chess Team Wins 1st in St. Pete

This past Saturday, a record-breaking Tampa Bay Scholastic Chess Tournament took place in St. Pete. Over 150 children from 34 schools battled over the 64 squares for a record amount of trophies and medals.
The Tampa Palms Elementary Team came first, winning by a large margin. The winning team members were: Andrew Balmaseda, Angela Li, Henry Zhang, Lucy Liu, Alex Balmaseda and Samantha Jensen.
