Full Description:
Your selection to the 2009 FBU Youth All-American Bowl roster recognizes you as one of the nation’s top youth football players.
There are approximately three million youth football players nationwide and you have distinguished yourself as one of the very best. The honor of being selected in the first FBU Youth All-American Bowl can be attributed to your hard work and dedication to the game.
I hope your selection and the memories from the FBU Youth All-American Bowl will be something you cherish for a very long time. The selection committee includes 60 regional directors and scouts, local youth and middle school coaches and SportsLink, producer of the U.S. Army All-American Bowl.
Football University was started by the creators of the U.S. Army All-American Bowl on NBC, which annually showcase the nation’s top preps such as Adrian Peterson, Reggie Bush and Tim Tebow and the nation’s forty top 7th and 8th graders in the Youth All-AmericanBowl in San Antonio’s Alamodome during the same weekend.
Two years ago, FBU founders realized three things: existing national camps were not servicing the elite level athletes from 7th to 11th grade, the nation’s top 7th and 8th graders were looking for year round specialized instruction to prepare for their high school career, and unlike other major sports, no national organization identified the nation’s top youth football players.
So the FBU founders built a network of trusted prep and youth football coaches and commissioners who could identify the top preps through 7th and 8th graders (and exceptional 6th graders) in 32 regions. They then found the best instructors from the NFL ranks at every position who could “teach” an elite curriculum to our elite athletes, and built a three day experience that featured 14 hours of one of a kind instruction to prepare the nation’s top youth athletes for the their future football career.
FBU founders also decided to showcase these tops preps annually in San Antonio alongside the nation’s top preps as they displayed their talent inside the Alamodome.
Game week will also be filled with valuable breakouts for our FBU Youth All-Americans and parents to meet the U.S. Army All-American, active and retired NFL greats, football celebrities and NFL Hall of Famers. It will be the most exciting week of youth football in the nation and a memorable experience for our invited athletes.
The game will be broadcast via the web from the Alamodome in San Antonio, TX, on Sunday, January 4, 2009.
Please complete the enclosed confirmation form and return it ASAP. Please do not announce your selection until we officially announce it to the media.
Once again, congratulations on your selection to the 2009 FBU Youth All-American Bowl.
